3 Steps Of Graphing Linear Functions
Linear function is a function whose variable is one rank or a function whose graph is a straight line.
There are three steps for graphing linear functions, such as:
Example :
Draw a graph of y = 2x - 6 !
Answer :
1. Determine the intersection with the x-axis, y = 0
y = 2x - 6
0 = 2x - 6
6 = 2x
6/2 = 2x/2
3 = x
So point A: (3, 0)
2. Determine the intersection with the y-axis, x = 0
y = 2x - 6
y = 2(0) - 6
y = -6
So point B: (0, -6)
3. Connect two points A and B to form a straight line
