Rectangle Formulas In Math

The rectangle is a two-dimensional flat wake formed by two pairs of ribs, each of which is equal in length and parallel to the pair, and has four angles, all of which are right angles. To day I gonna share to you about rectangle formulas in math. There are 2 formulas such as areas and circumference of rectangle.

1. Areas of Rectangle

Formula:

Area of rectangle = length x width

Example:
What is the area of rectangle which have length and width is 5cm and 4cm ?

Answer:
length = 5cm
widht = 4cm

Area of rectangle = length x width

Area of rectangle = 5cm x 4cm
Area of rectangle = 20cm²

So the areas of the rectangle is 20cm².

2. Circumference of Rectangle

Formula:

Circumference of rectangle = 2(length + width)

Example:
What is the circumference of rectangle which have length and width is 5cm and 4cm ?

Answer:
length = 5cm
width = 4cm

Circumference of rectangle = 2(length + width)
Circumference of rectangle = 2(5cm + 4cm)
Circumference of rectangle = 2(9cm)

Circumference of rectangle = 18cm

So the circumference of the rectangle is 18cm.
